MONROE, La. – Learfield’s Warhawk Sports Properties, ULM Athletics’ multimedia rights partner, recently named Nick White as Manager of Business Development.
“We’re excited to have Nick rejoin the team,” Warhawk Sports Properties General Manager Greg Lynch said. “He’s someone who obviously already possesses a deep affinity for the Warhawks. Nick has been working with us as a member of Warhawk Sports Properties’ radio team as the ‘Voice of the Warhawks,’ a role he will continue in as well.”
White is in his 12th season overall with the Warhawk Radio Network, serving as the play-by-play voice for the football and men’s basketball teams. He will continue his broadcast role for the Warhawk Radio Network. He previously served as Manager of Business Development from December 2016-December 2017 before stepping away to enter private business.
In addition to his work with ULM Athletics, White was a mainstay in local sports talk radio in Monroe, having been at ESPN 97.7 (now SportsTalk 97.7 FM) from its inception in August 2003 through December 2016. He served as associate sports director and sports director during his tenure as well as co-host of multiple shows, most notably the highly rated afternoon show “Fox & Company” from August 2003-January 2014 before moving to mornings to co-host “The Morning Drive with Dietrich and White” until December 2016.
He was named “Best of the Delta” in talk radio for three consecutive years (2010-2012) by Delta Style Magazine. He also has been a finalist for Sun Belt Conference Broadcaster of the Year and was named the top high school football play-by-play voice for north Louisiana in 2007 by The Ruston Daily Leader. Most recently, White was recognized by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association, finishing in second place for College Broadcaster of the Year in 2018 and third in 2017 and 2020.
A native of Farmerville, Louisiana, White currently resides in Monroe with his two sons, Bryan and Micah.
